Joseph,

    Perhaps the fact that amos stores it graphics like bobs, icons and such
in 16 pixel chunks, might be your problem. The bob itself knows that it is only
2x2 but in effect it is stored as 16x2 in the bank. This would explain why it
allows you to get closer and closer when you increase the width of your bobs. The effect should only be seen on the right hand side and only horizontally if this is the actual problem. Try pasting your bobs without the mask on,and you will
see that they are in fact a multiple of 16 pixels wide. Hopefully, even if this
is not the problem it will set you on the right track!
